New Ways of Working

The New Ways of Working programme is effectively the transformation engine for the West London Alliance, setting the pace for cross-cutting activity, collaboration and efficiencies and providing rigorous performance improvement.

The programme will be a key enabler of delivery against the priority outcomes agreed by Leaders, driving innovation and transformation across the West London Alliance, ensuring the collective approach taken produces benefits at a scale not possible for any one partner to achieve on their own.

It will also be responsible for ensuring the core efficiency programmes and processes of the West London Alliance continue to drive out savings and cost avoidance in this context. Five cross-cutting themes have been identified through which the NWW programme will operate:

  • Commercialisation strategic procurement and income generation
  • Demand management and Prevention
  • Collaborative working and shared services
  • Alternative sources of funding
  • Social capital, citizen engagement & volunteering
